A 3-day course combining lectures on the first day followed by a 2-day
practical hands-on course. The course will provide a comprehensive overview
of echocardiography from interpretation and reporting to performing a
transthoracic scan.

The Lecture day
Objectives of the Course

To build on existing knowledge and develop understanding to progress
to an advanced level. The course will provide a comprehensive overview
of all areas of echocardiography to teach a systematic and detailed
approach to performing and reporting transthoracic echocardiography.
It is aimed at cardiac technicians, cardiologists, radiographers, GPSIs and
anyone with an interest in echocardiography who wish to progress
from a basic level up to BSE standard.

Hands-On Course
Objectives of the course

A comprehensive course designed to develop basic echocardiography
skills to a more advanced level, ideal for those starting out in
echocardiography who can acquire standard images but wish to develop
their technique. Through tutorials and practical sessions all aspects
performing and reporting echocardiography will be covered.
Practical scanning sessions will be in small groups of no more than four
delegates to ensure ample opportunity to practice techniques. All
teaching will be to BSE accreditation level.
